OrgHub basics
Open OrgHub, navigate its four sidebar sections, pin Favorites, and understand why pages appear or disappear — plus how institution settings, roles, and feature packages shape what you see.
OrgHub is the campus administration workspace in Fuxam Web — the place institution staff open when they need to administer academic structure, courses, programs, exams, statistics, and related campus operations. It is the entry point to FuxamCMS. This chapter explains how to open OrgHub, what each sidebar section contains, how Favorites work, and what to do when expected pages are missing.
You do not “install” OrgHub separately: if your role grants access to at least one OrgHub page, OrgHub appears in the main dashboard navigation. Selecting it lands you on the first page your role is allowed to open — Fuxam chooses that landing automatically so you never have to hunt for a default start screen.
Why it matters
Most operational mistakes in campus systems start with navigation confusion: two colleagues assume they share the same tools, or a new planner cannot find Chronology and invents a workaround outside Fuxam. OrgHub is designed so that visibility is intentional. Understanding the sidebar layout — and the gates behind it — keeps teams aligned and makes permission design deliberate instead of accidental.

How it fits
OrgHub sits on top of Fuxam Base identity. People, groups, and roles are configured in User Management and Roles and permissions. Institution-wide switches live in Settings — catalogued in Institution settings overview.

Before you start
- You need a Fuxam Web account with a role that includes at least one OrgHub-related permission.
- Your institution must have the relevant FuxamCMS (or Apply) feature packages for non-core sections.
- Some areas also need an institution setting switched on (for example Exam Center or Statistics reporting).
- If OrgHub itself is missing from navigation, ask an institution administrator to review your role — this is almost never a browser issue.
How to open OrgHub
To open OrgHub, select OrgHub from the main dashboard navigation. Fuxam automatically redirects you to the first page your role has permission to access. You do not need to navigate manually to a starting page.
If you cannot see the OrgHub entry in the navigation, contact your institution administrator to review your role’s permissions.
Understand the sidebar sections
The OrgHub sidebar groups pages into four collapsible sections. Sections and individual pages are shown or hidden based on your role’s permissions and on which features your institution has enabled. Groups that end up with no visible children are hidden entirely.
Management
Management contains the core administration pages most staff use regularly.

Favorites
You can pin any OrgHub page to your favorites bar by selecting the star icon next to a page title in the sidebar. Favorited pages appear at the top of the sidebar for quick access.
Favorites do not grant extra permissions — they only shortcut pages you can already see. If a page later disappears from your sidebar because permissions or features changed, it will no longer be available as a favorite either.
Extended CMS capabilities
Beyond the four sidebar groups above, FuxamCMS can include additional operational areas that appear when their features and settings are enabled. They are documented in this handbook under CMS:

These may surface through Settings, user profile tabs, or OrgHub-adjacent management flows rather than as permanent top-level peers of Database — always confirm visibility with your administrator if you expected them and do not see them. Setup paths are listed in Institution settings overview.
Why am I missing pages?
If you cannot see a section or page listed above, one of three things is usually happening:
- Your role does not have the required permission for that page.
- Your institution does not have the feature package that includes that section.
- An institution setting is still off (for example, Exam Center or Statistics reporting), even though the package is present.

Best practices
- Design roles around jobs, not individuals. Map planner, registrar, exam officer, and read-only auditor needs to named roles before inviting large staff cohorts.
- Onboard with a sidebar tour. New administrators should open OrgHub once with a mentor who has the same intended role, then compare sidebars — differences are the fastest way to catch missing permissions.
- Pin high-frequency pages. Favorites for Courses, Programs, or My Exams cut daily navigation cost without changing access.
- Build Database before scaling Planning. Terms in Chronology and stable modules/curricula make planning and enrollment predictable.
- Use Settings for go-live, OrgHub for operations. Flip Exam Center or Report when processes are ready; run daily work from the sidebar.

FAQ
Is OrgHub the same as FuxamCMS?
OrgHub is the workspace you open from the dashboard. FuxamCMS is the campus management module whose tools primarily live in OrgHub. In everyday speech staff often use the names interchangeably; in this handbook, OrgHub means the UI shell and FuxamCMS means the administrative capabilities.
Where did User Management go in the handbook?
User management documentation lives under Fuxam Base → User Management. The OrgHub Users page is the same operational area — Base is the correct module home for roles, invites, and people data.
Why do I land on a different page than my colleague?
Fuxam opens the first OrgHub page your role is allowed to access. Different roles produce different landings even inside the same institution.
Where do administrators turn features on?
In institution Settings — see Institution settings overview. Feature packages themselves are contractual; settings switch packaged areas live for your campus.
