Fuxam LMS
The FuxamLMS handbook — how teaching, learning, courses, content, attendance, grading, and student workflows connect across Fuxam Web.
FuxamLMS (the Learning Management System in Fuxam Web) is where day-to-day teaching and learning happen. Once people are admitted and courses exist in the institution, the LMS is the workspace students and teachers return to every week: opening courses, following learning journeys, submitting work, attending sessions, and reviewing grades. Administrators and instructional staff use the same module to build content, monitor progress, and keep cohorts on track.
The LMS does not stand alone. It draws on Fuxam Base for shared identity, calendar, chat, and announcements, and it reflects academic structure defined in FuxamCMS — study programmes, modules, cohorts, and course records. What you configure in the CMS becomes enrollable, teachable reality inside the LMS.
How this fits into Fuxam
Think of Fuxam as layers. Base provides institution-wide primitives everyone shares. CMS plans and structures programmes, modules, and courses. LMS is where those courses are lived in — the student experience, the teacher’s course room, and the operational tools around attendance and grading.
A typical flow looks like this:
- Orientation — After sign-in, use Getting around to learn the sidebar, personalise your dashboard, and pin courses you use daily.
- Enter a course — Open a course from Courses and work inside its tabs: learning journey, content, drive, chat, and calendar.
- Build and reuse material — Teachers create content inside courses or pull reusable blocks from the content database; learning journeys structure the path through that material.
- Run the term — Calendar and attendance ties sessions to courses; grading and analytics close the feedback loop.
- Stay connected — Communication links course chat, formal emails, and Info Hub announcements to the people in your courses.
- Student administration — Students use Student home tabs to book module courses, track curriculum progress, elect modules, and review personal records.
