The Content Database is your institution’s central library for reusable learning material. Instead of rebuilding the same video, quiz, or full course path in every offering, administrators maintain master copies in OrgHub and push them into live courses through import or ongoing sync. The database has two complementary parts: full learning journey databases (structured templates) and individual entries in the Content Blocks library (single activities you can mix and match).
Why it matters
Universities run many parallel sections, cohorts, and recurring modules. Without a central library, teams copy-paste content by hand, fixes in one course never reach the others, and quality drifts between sections. The Content Database solves that by separating what students learn (the shared material) from where they learn it (the enrolled course). You maintain authoritative content once, then distribute it consistently — and when a reading list changes or a quiz question needs correction, you update the master and sync rather than hunting through dozens of course shells.

The Content Database sits between institutional administration in OrgHub and day-to-day teaching in FuxamLMS. Courses remain the live spaces where students enroll, submit work, and receive grades. The database is the upstream source for content that can be copied or kept linked.

Courses linked to a learning journey database show read-only learning journey content in the course. Edit the database entry and sync to push updates to linked courses. Individual linked content blocks behave similarly: library edits can propagate; course-specific settings such as due dates remain on the course copy.
