Create a bundle
Create a named course bundle in OrgHub, set its programme dates, and optionally add the first linked courses.
Creating a bundle is the first step when you want to offer or assign a fixed set of courses together — a certificate path, a continuing education programme, or any package where learners should enroll once and receive every linked course. You define the bundle’s identity (name, description, date range) and optionally attach courses during creation or afterward on the bundle detail page.
A bundle only references existing courses. It does not create new course shells. If the courses do not exist yet, create them first in Course management before building the bundle.
Why it matters
Manual enrollment into five courses means five chances to miss someone, five audit trails to reconcile, and five separate actions every time a new cohort starts. A bundle captures the programme definition — which courses belong together and when the offering runs — so later enrollment and student visibility stay aligned with that definition.

Bundles complement — but do not replace — per-course tools such as Bulk-enroll users in a course. Use bulk enroll when you need many users in one course; use a bundle when the same people need every course in the package.

How to create a bundle
Go to OrgHub → Management → Course Management and open the Bundles tab.
Click Bundle (create button) to open the Create Bundle sheet.
Enter a name and optional description.
Set the date range — start and due dates that define when the bundle runs. The start date must be before the due date.
Optionally select courses to include. You can skip this step and add courses later.
Save the bundle. It appears in the bundles table.
Create from selected courses
If you already know which courses belong in the package, you can seed the bundle from the course list:
On the Courses tab under OrgHub → Management → Course Management, select one or more courses.
Use Create bundle from the bulk actions to start a new bundle with those courses pre-selected.
Complete the Create Bundle sheet — name, description, and date range — and save.
This path is faster when you have been browsing or filtering courses and already have the right set highlighted.
After creation
Open the bundle from the table to continue setup:
- Add or remove courses on the Courses page — see Edit a bundle
- Enroll users on the Users page — see Enroll in a bundle
- Update name and description on Settings
A newly created bundle is not yet useful to learners until courses are linked and users are enrolled with Active membership. Follow Publish a bundle to confirm the bundle is ready.
Best practices
- Create courses first, bundle second. Each member course needs its own learning journey, content, and staff. The bundle only wires enrollments together.
- Set a realistic date range early. The start and due dates frame the programme window for students on Home → Bundles and help staff communicate term boundaries.
- Start with a draft course list. You can create the bundle with no courses, but verify the full lineup before enrolling participants to avoid partial access.
- Use Create bundle from bulk actions when the course set is already visible. Selecting courses on the Courses tab reduces the risk of omitting a member course.
Common pitfalls
- Bundles not enabled for your institution. If the Bundles tab does not appear, neither creation nor enrollment is available — ask an administrator to confirm the Course Bundles feature and institution setting are both turned on.
- Start date on or after due date. The Create Bundle sheet requires start before due; fix the range before saving.
- Expecting the bundle to hold content. Content, journeys, and grades live in each course, not in the bundle shell.
- Confusing bundles with student booking. Book and unbook courses is for learner self-service on individual bookable courses, not administrator-created bundles.
FAQ
Can I add courses after saving the bundle?
Yes. Open the bundle Courses page and use Add Courses at any time. If members are already enrolled, you choose whether new courses also enroll existing members — see Edit a bundle.
Do I need every course selected at creation?
No. Course selection during creation is optional. Many teams create the bundle shell first, finalise the course lineup with academic colleagues, then enroll users.
Does creating a bundle enroll anyone automatically?
No. Creation only defines the bundle. Users gain course access after enrollment with Active membership.
