View your schedule

Browse your personal appointments in year, month, and week views on the Fuxam Mobile calendar home tab, navigate dates, refresh your schedule, and open appointment details.

The Calendar tab is the home screen of Fuxam Mobile — the first place you land after sign-in. It shows every appointment on your personal calendar for the period you select, so you can see lectures, seminars, exams, and meetings at a glance without opening Fuxam Web. Think of it as your pocket timetable: the same institutional schedule your institution maintains in the Base calendar, distilled into a view optimized for phones.

Why it matters

University life runs on time. Students need to know where to be next; staff need to confirm room bookings and back-to-back commitments. A calendar that loads instantly on your phone reduces missed sessions, last-minute confusion about locations, and the friction of logging into a desktop browser between classes. Because the Calendar tab is your default screen, keeping it current is the fastest way to stay aligned with your institution’s published schedule.

How it fits

Your mobile calendar reads from the same appointment data as Fuxam Web. Administrators and organizers create and edit events in the Base calendar — for example through View the calendar, Create an appointment, and related pages. What you see on mobile is your personal slice of that schedule: appointments you are invited to or organize, shown in the views described below.

From the calendar you typically move in one of three directions:

Key concepts

Term Meaning on mobile
Appointment A scheduled event on your personal calendar — a lecture, meeting, exam block, or similar session.
Appointment marker A visual indicator on a day in Year or Month view showing that at least one event exists on that date.
No Appointments The message shown when a selected day has no events on your calendar.
Personal calendar Your combined schedule of invitations and events you organize — not the institution-wide filtered views available on Fuxam Web.

On Fuxam Web, staff can filter the calendar by course, cohort, room, and saved views. The mobile app focuses on your schedule without those filter controls, which keeps the home tab fast and readable on a small screen.

Switch views

Use the controls at the top of the calendar to change how you see your schedule:

  • Year — overview of months; days with appointments are marked
  • Month — traditional month grid with appointment indicators on busy days
  • Week — detailed view of the current week with time slots

Tap a day that has appointments to see the list for that day. Days without appointments show No Appointments.

Choosing a view

View Best for
Year Spotting busy months and term rhythm at a glance.
Month Planning around a specific week or seeing which days are packed.
Week Hour-by-hour detail for the current week — the default for “what’s next today?”

Swipe or use the arrow buttons to move to previous or next months or weeks. Tap Today (when shown) to jump back to the current date.

Refresh and connectivity

Pull down to refresh if you expect new appointments that have not appeared yet. The calendar requires an internet connection to load your latest schedule.

If an event your instructor just published still does not appear after refreshing, wait a moment and try again — scheduling changes on Fuxam Web propagate to mobile, but a brief delay is normal. When you are offline, you may see stale data or be unable to load the calendar at all; reconnect before relying on the schedule for time-critical decisions.

Best practices

  • Check the Calendar tab each morning — especially at the start of a new term when organizers are still publishing sessions.
  • Use Week view between classes — it shows time slots clearly so you can see gaps and overlaps.
  • Pull to refresh after schedule announcements — if your institution sends an Info Hub notice or email about timetable changes, refresh before heading to campus.
  • Tap through to details before leaving — location, online join links, and absence reporting all live on the appointment detail sheet, not on the grid itself.

Common pitfalls

Situation What to do
A day shows No Appointments but you expected a session Confirm the date with Week or Month navigation; pull to refresh; verify on Fuxam Web if the organizer has published the event.
Markers appear but the day list looks empty Tap the day again; ensure you selected the correct date in Month or Year view.
Schedule looks outdated Pull down to refresh; check your internet connection.
You need course-wide or room filters Use View the calendar on Fuxam Web — mobile shows your personal calendar only.

FAQ

Is the mobile calendar the same as Fuxam Web?

You see the same appointments that belong to your personal schedule, but Fuxam Web offers additional views, filters, and administrative tools. Mobile is optimized for viewing your own timetable and acting on individual appointments.

Can I create or edit appointments on mobile?

This handbook covers viewing and acting on existing appointments. Creating and editing events is done on Fuxam Web — see Create an appointment and Edit an appointment.

How do I check in to a session?

Check-in uses the Check-In tab and a QR code from your instructor — not the calendar grid. See Check in with a QR code.
