Subscribe to your calendar
Copy or open your Fuxam iCal subscription URL from the Calendar tab to show appointments in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook.
Calendar Subscription gives you a personal iCal feed URL so your Fuxam appointments appear in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, or another calendar app that supports HTTPS or webcal feeds. Open it from the Calendar tab when your institution has calendar subscription enabled.
Why it matters
Students and staff often plan around multiple calendars. Subscribing once keeps Fuxam appointments updating automatically in the calendar app you already use — without exporting files by hand.
Before you start
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| Signed in | Complete Sign in |
| Institution setting | Calendar Subscription appears only when your institution enables iCal subscription (calendar_ical_enabled) |
| Calendar app | Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, or another app that can subscribe to an HTTPS or webcal URL |
How to open Calendar Subscription
Open the Calendar tab.
Tap the ⋯ button in the calendar header (More calendar actions).
Tap Calendar Subscription in the Calendar actions sheet.
If you do not see Calendar Subscription, your institution has not enabled iCal subscription for mobile.
How to subscribe
On the Calendar Subscription screen, the Subscription URL section shows your personal feed URL.
Open Calendar Subscription as above and wait for the URL to load.
Tap the actions control next to the URL, then choose one of:
- Open in Calendar App — opens the webcal link in your device calendar app when the device can handle it
- Copy HTTPS URL — copies the HTTPS feed for Google Calendar, Outlook, or other HTTPS subscribers
- Copy Webcal URL — copies the webcal version of the same feed
In your external calendar app, paste the URL into the subscribe / add calendar by URL flow (wording varies by app). Your Fuxam events then update automatically.
Common pitfalls
| Pitfall | What happens | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| No Calendar Subscription in the ⋯ menu | Institution has not enabled iCal | Ask your administrator, or use the in-app View your schedule |
| Feed fails to load | Error and Retry | Tap Retry; check your network connection |
| Open in Calendar App fails | Device cannot open webcal | Use Copy HTTPS URL or Copy Webcal URL and paste into your calendar app manually |
| Events look stale after a schedule change | External apps refresh on their own schedule | Wait for the next refresh, or remove and re-add the subscription |
FAQ
Does subscribing replace the Calendar tab?
No. The in-app Calendar tab remains the place for check-in, attendance, and appointment actions — see Appointment details. Subscription only mirrors events into another calendar app.
Is my subscription URL unique?
Yes. It is tied to your account and institution context. Do not share it publicly.
