Read Info Hub announcements

Read your institution's news on the Info Hub tab in Fuxam Mobile: unread and pinned stories, search, attachments, automatic read status, and extra controls for staff.

The Info Hub tab shows your institution's news and announcements in the Fuxam mobile app. Open it from the tab bar (megaphone icon), tap a story to read it, and the app marks it as read for you.

Why it matters

Staff use Info Hub for official notices: timetable changes, deadlines, campus news. Reading them in the app means you see urgent and pinned items first, and your institution can see that you have read them.

Before you start

Requirement Detail
Signed in Complete Sign in first
Announcements turned on Your institution must enable announcements. Otherwise the screen says Info Hub is not available for your account.
Permission Your role needs read access to announcements

How to read an announcement

Tap Info Hub in the tab bar. The header shows how many stories you have not read yet, for example 3 unread.

Browse the list. Pinned stories come first and carry a Pinned ribbon. A dot next to the title means you have not read it yet. Each card shows the date, reading time (for example 2 min read), author, and a priority label (Urgent, High, Medium or Low) when one is set. A paperclip with a number means the story has attachments.

Tap a card to open the story. Scroll down past the cover to read the Story section.

Opening the story marks it as read. The dot disappears and the unread count goes down.

  • Use the tabs under the search field: All, Unread, Pinned and Templates. Unread shows only stories you have not opened yet. Templates lists reusable layouts that staff use to write announcements.
  • Type in the search field to find stories by title. If your institution has turned on semantic search, a note under the tabs says so, and longer search terms are matched by meaning with AI.
  • Pull the list down to refresh it.

In an open story

  • Details shows when the story was Posted and, if it changed later, when it was Updated.
  • Attachments lists files. Tap Open next to a file to view it.
  • Tap the share icon at the top to share the story's title through your phone's share sheet.
  • Tap the back arrow at the top left to return to the list.

If you manage announcements

Staff with Info Hub permissions see extra controls. What you see depends on your permissions:

  • A Create button in the Info Hub header with Create Info and Create Template.
  • In an open story: a pin icon to Pin or Unpin it, and a ⋯ button with Edit, Publish, Save as draft, Archive, Pin/Unpin and Delete. Delete asks Delete announcement? and cannot be undone.
  • Content and Analytics tabs in an open story. Analytics shows who has read it. The Audience section shows who the story is for.
  • On published cards in the list, a ⋯ button with Edit, Pin/Unpin and Delete, plus a view count.

For writing and targeting announcements in detail, see Create an announcement on Fuxam Web.

FAQ

Do I need to mark a story as read?

No. The app marks a story as read as soon as you open it.

Can I mark a story as unread again?

No. The app has no option for that.

Why do I see some stories and my classmates see others?

Staff can send a story to everyone or only to certain roles, cohorts, groups or people. You only see stories meant for you.

Where do Info Hub notifications go?

New announcements can also arrive as notifications. Tapping one opens the story. See Use the notification center.
